I'm a developer for a corporate virtual assistant project.
We created an internal chatbot available as an app in workspace using Gemini 2.0 deployment and cloud run, firestore, Google card v2, buckets, etc. Customer can access it via Google Chat > Apps.
Customer now want to be able to use the app directly as an gemini sidebar app, as the ones shown here https://edu.google.com/workspace-for-education/add-ons/google-workspace-with-gemini/ They also want to know if we can "hook" (for a lack of better term) the chatbot directly into gemini.google/app (while also making sure its private to the client, just like with current cloud run app)
I want to know if this is currently possible or how far can I migrate the current chatbot to an existing Gemini UI. If Google supports this kind of deployment I want to know more about it.
Any pointers are much appreciated.
