Agent Greeting on Selection in Google ADK

Hi Team,

I’ve been using Google ADK for the past couple of weeks, and I must say it has been a great experience so far. However, I’ve encountered a small issue related to the agent behavior.

Currently, when I select an agent, it gets activated and waits for me to initiate the conversation. But in the context of my project, I want the agent to greet the user first — for example, say "Hi", "Hello", or "How are you?" — immediately upon selection. This would create a more engaging and natural user experience.

I have tried multiple approaches to implement this behavior, but haven’t been able to figure it out. I would like to know:

Is it possible to configure an agent to greet the user immediately upon selection?
If yes, could you please provide the steps or any guidance on how to achieve this behavior in my ADK project?

Any help or documentation on this would be greatly appreciated.
