Both Claude 3.5 sonnet version(V1 V2) quotas have been depleted.
We experienced a similar problem about two months ago; requests for increased quotas were denied.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Is this a widespread Vertex issue?
Should we consider migrating to AWS or the official Claude API?
Hi @RyanMax,
Welcome to Google Cloud Community!
I am sorry to hear that your request to raise your quotas was denied. To set clear expectations, quota increase requests are evaluated and granted depending on the specific case. The error “quota-error code 429” you are receiving may be related to the number of requests you’ve made exceeding the capacity allocation for processing requests. For more information on why this error occurs, you can refer to this documentation. A workaround is to consider using Provisioned Throughput, which allocates dedicated resources to ensure consistent performance.
In addition, as of now, there are no reported outages on our GCP status dashboard that might be causing this.
Also, thank you for bringing up questions about the potential migration to AWS or the official Claude API. It's important to thoroughly assess the current benefits of staying in Google Cloud, especially in considering your current infrastructure and how it supports your business objectives. While AWS and the official Claude API might offer specialized solutions and capabilities, staying with Google Cloud could offer you the best combination of cost efficiency, security, scalability, networking, collaboration, flexibility and advanced services that can help you to achieve your goals.
Additionally, I recommend contacting Google Cloud Support, as they can provide more insights to see if the behavior you've encountered is a known issue or specific to your project.
It's happening because Google doesn't want you to use Anthropic models. They want you to use Gemini. And if you contact anyone from support, all they say is "Pay us then we will talk to you." It's literally a scam!
