Generative Playbook data store tool - how to connect data store to app tool

Hi I am trying to use a generative playbook as the app type in Search & Conversation, I've created the app and connected it to slack and can converse with it. I have also created a data store under "Search & Conversation" and successfully imported data. When I try add a data store tool to my playbook, I never seem to see a list of data stores to connect to, how do I connect a data store to my generative playbook app using a data store tool. For other app types like chat or search I am able to connect the data store and select them in the tool UI. I can't see how to make the store available to the data store tool, there are no options to choose a store.
