Getting 429 error, but quota is not adjustable

I'm using vertex AI and am getting the following error: Error: [429 ] Quota exceeded for aiplatform.googleapis.com/generate_content_requests_per_minute_per_project_per_base_model with base model: gemini-1.5-flash. Please submit a quota increase request.

I tried to follow the instructions to request quota increase, but when i search for the API in "Quotas and system limits" tab, I see "adjustable no":

What can I do?

Hi @anatdaganster,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

I’m seeing that you have selected the default one. Try choosing the same option as shown in the image below. To request a quota increase, click the three dots located on the right side of the screen and select Edit quota.

Keep in mind that quota increase requests are reviewed and approved on a case-to-case basis. Note that the requests will be reviewed and granted for valid business cases.
