Hi @Aadii,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

If you are encountering a quota exceeded error message when creating a new VM instance, it means that you have reached the maximum limit for the specific machine type in the selected region. This error occurs when there is a limit on the number of CPU cores you can use in a particular region.

To resolve this issue, you have a few options:

  1. Choose a different region: Try selecting a different region where the quota limit has not been reached for the desired machine type. You can check the available machine types and quotas for each region in the Google Cloud Console. Look for regions where the desired machine type is available and has sufficient quotas.

  2. Request a quota increase: If you have a specific requirement to use the desired machine type in the current region, you can request a quota increase. The quota increase process allows you to request additional resources beyond the default limits. You can submit a quota increase request through the Google Cloud Console. Be sure to provide valid reasons and justifications for your request.

  3. Choose a different machine type: If the specific machine type is not essential for your workload, consider selecting a different machine type that is available and within the current quota limits.

  4. Contact Google Cloud Support: If none of the above options work or if you require immediate assistance, you can reach out to Google Cloud Support. They can provide guidance, assistance, and help resolve any quota-related issues you may be facing.

It's worth noting that quotas are in place to prevent abuse and ensure fair usage of resources. Requesting a quota increase typically requires providing information about your specific use case and estimated resource needs.

See the Google Cloud documentation on managing quotas for more detailed instructions and information:

If you continue to experience difficulties, reaching out to Google Cloud Support would be the best course of action to get personalized assistance for your specific situation.

Hope this helps.
