Hello Team,
Any update?
Following this process using projects.translateText Method on Cloud Translation API, the translation worked fine.
In order to better understand how we might assist, please provide more details about how you are utilizing the Cloud Translation API if this behavior seems unique to your use-case and implementation. You may, for instance, let us know what version of the Translation API is being used. Aside from that, consider the translation process you're using. Tell us how you are gathering the data; is it through a web user interface?
Hello and I'm sorry for bumping this thread, my name is Thim and I'm looking to convert a german pdf to english about a Gutbrod 1960's tractor which I own. My german text also seems to be overlapping with the translated english text when translated by google translate. I've provided a screenshot below with a segment of my pdf.
Cheers!
The overlapping text problem might be the result of the source PDF file containing both machine-readable text and an overlain layer with an image of the text. In such cases, by using VPNs, I have noticed that Google Translate, depending on to which Google server a PDF file is sent, returns either an error message that the source PDF file may be corrupt, or returns a PDF file with the machine-readable text translated but largely obscured by the overlain image layer. In such case, it might be possible to remove the overlain layer using a program such as Adobe Photoshop.
