How do I see my costs and token usage?

I use TTS voices, both journey (premium) and standard ones. 

Where do I see how many tokens I've used, so I can stop before I need to start paying. I've been using this for over a week now and all it says is that I need to wait for costs to show up.

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

While not exact, you can get a rough estimate of your token usage by counting the characters in the text you've converted to speech.

According to this documentation

Text-to-Speech is priced based on the number of characters sent to the service to be synthesized into audio each month. You must enable billing to use Text-to-Speech, and will be automatically charged if your usage exceeds the number of free characters allowed per month. For information about how to keep track of your character totals, see Monitoring API usage. Price is calculated per character.

Below is the pricing table including the details for Standard voices.

Please be noted that Journey voices are still experimental and are currently not billed.

With regard to what you’re seeing about the cost still not showing up, kindly refer to this documentation:

Google Cloud products report usage and cost data to Cloud Billing processes at varying intervals. As a result, you might see a delay between your use of Google Cloud services, and the usage and costs being available to view in Cloud Billing. Typically, your costs are available within a day, but can sometimes take more than 24 hours.

I see, thank you for the solid explanation. To be clear, I do not need to pay for the Journey voices I use until it exits it's experimental stage, correct?

According to this documentation:

“Note: Journey voices are experimental and are currently not billed.”

I recommend keeping an eye on this release note for any update should Journey voices be billed when it’s no longer considered experimental.
