I can't deploy any model from Model Garden (Free Trial)

Hi, just started using Google Cloud free trial and wanted to use and test the AI models from Vertex AI. This is my first time using a platform like this so I have no idea if I require to do any steps.

But I can't deploy any model.

This is one of the warnings I'm getting under the machine spec option:

You have no deployment quota for NVIDIA_L4 in us-central1. Please request a quota increase before deploying this model. Specify Model Garden in the quota increase request.

When I click to check my quotas to edit it, this is the warning I get:

Enter a new quota value between 0 and 0. Based on your service usage history, you are not eligible for a quota increase at this time. If additional resources are needed, contact our Sales Team to discuss your options for a higher quota value.

I'm stuck in a loop and I can't find any tutorial to help me, am I missing something? Please help 😞

Google Cloud’s free trial offers limited resources, and the error you are encountering indicates that the platform has safeguards to prevent excessive resource consumption during this period. These safeguards often restrict quota increases during the trial phase.

According to the Model Garden Pricing page:

For the open source models in Model Garden, you are charged for use of following on Vertex AI:

  • Model tuning: You are charged for the compute resources used at the same rate as custom training. See custom training pricing.
  • Model deployment: You are charged for the compute resources used to deploy the model to an endpoint. See predictions pricing.

If your requirements consistently exceed the free trial limits, you may consider upgrading to a paid plan. This will provide access to higher quotas and a broader range of resources.
