Hi,
I have need of a Julia library that is not playing-well with PyCall, so I tried installing Julia + IJulia on a Google Vertex Workbench instance using an approach based off Add a conda environment to a Vertex AI Workbench instance | Google Cloud. I was able to re-produce the installation of the R environment, but repeating a similar process with Julia did not work.
I also tried a process based on (URL Removed by Staff) including setting the Jupyter and Python path, per (URL Removed by Staff) and exhausting every possible configuration that I was able to find using "sudo find / -type f -name "jupyter*" -executable" and "ps aux | grep jupyter", to no avail.
Any advice to get Julia kernel up and running would be greatly appreciated.
Can you try following the step outlined in this blog? https://medium.com/@kel.markert/installing-julia-on-vertex-ai-workbench-instances-a-step-by-step-gui...
Last I tested it, it worked for me.
