Need Urgent Help with Google OAuth Setup for App - Issues with App Blocked by Google

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out because I’m stuck and running out of time to resolve an issue with our Google OAuth setup. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

We have an application that needs calendar permissions, which we integrate via the Nylas API. Since Nylas is sunsetting their v2 API, we’re migrating to v3. Additionally, we recently rebranded and moved to a new domain, which required setting up a new Google Cloud project and OAuth app.

We completed the OAuth app setup, and after an initial rejection for an unverified homepage, we resolved this by verifying the homepage in Google Search Console. The OAuth Verification Center now lists the app as Verified.

However, under the OAuth Overview in the Google Cloud Console, I still see alerts suggesting that something might not be configured correctly. Users are unable to use the app because it’s being blocked by Google, and I’m unsure what steps to take next. I’m not sure if this is a propagation delay or a configuration issue.

Here are some key issues and questions I need help with:

  1. Alerts Under Project Checkup (Above Screenshot): I’ve read through all the available FAQs and documentation, but the solutions seem vague. The “App Blocked by Google” issue persists despite everything looking fine on the surface.

  2. Authorized Domains:

    • We currently have six authorized domains listed in the OAuth Branding section. Do all these domains need to be added and verified in Google Search Console?
    • Should redirect URIs also be included here, or are these unrelated?
  3. OAuth User Cap and Scope Approval:

    • We’ve hit the 100-user limit for unapproved scopes, but we’re only requesting one scope (which appears approved with a green checkmark).
    • Could this still be a factor in the app being blocked? If so, how can we resolve this?

The Nylas v2 API sunsets on Tuesday, and I’m running out of time. I’ve reached out to the Google Safety team via email but haven’t received a response yet, and I’m starting to panic.

If anyone has encountered similar issues or knows how to address this, your advice would mean a lot.

Thank you in advance for your help!
