Regarding free credit usage in Gemini

Hi,

I am currently working on the Gemini LLM with my own data. I noticed that this service requires a paid subscription. However, I have some free credits available. Could you please confirm if I need to make an additional payment, or can I use my existing free credits?

I am currently accessing the service from the UK.

You're correct! While Gemini LLM is a paid service, there are free tiers available depending on your location and usage.Google Cloud offers free tier usage for many services, including some quota for Vertex AI, the platform where Gemini LLM is accessed.
However, there are specific restrictions for free tier usage in the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes the UK.
If you have existing free credits associated with your Google Cloud account and meet the EEA free tier criteria, you can potentially use them for Gemini LLM calls as long as you stay within the free tier quota.
