Summarizing a transcript with Gemini Flash 1.5

hi,

anyone tried summarization prompts with Gemini? and recieved a very very bad answer? looks even like a bug.. like the first part is good, then like the same sentece repeates over and overs? is it due to any issue with this model and its ability to summarize transcript of dialogs for example? i also asked the answer in bullet points and i think it didn't like it.. anyone experienced such issue? and if not, how do you recommend to right a prompt to summarizing? how to use the 'sys' and the 'user'?

Hi @liort - a couple of thoughts come to mind:

  • Experiment with higher temperature settings.
  • Provide an example 'good response' in your prompt
  • Add constraints in the prompt: 'avoid providing repetitive information'
