I updated the hardware configuration of one of my existing user-managed vertex AI notebooks, and then restarted it. The VM is up but the proxy of jupyter notebook is stuck at "Setting up proxy to JupyterLab". Is there any solution for this issue? I cannot find anything useful in error log.
Ensure that the underlying VM is up and running as expected. You can do this by checking the status of the VM in the Google Cloud Console. Make sure it's in a running state.
Check the logs for any error messages or warnings. You mentioned that you couldn't find anything useful in the error log, but it's worth checking the logs again, including the logs for both the VM and the JupyterLab service. Also, try accessing JupyterLab from a different web browser to see if that resolves the issue.
If all else fails, you might consider recreating the Vertex AI notebook instance with the updated hardware configuration. Be sure to back up your notebooks and data before doing this.
It's also a good idea to contact Google Cloud Support. They can provide more specific assistance for issues related to Vertex AI and GCP services.
@Poala_Tenorio I could not find any logs under my machine. Not sure why. The notebook just got stuck there without any response. Eventually i deleted the entire instance and recreated one
