Where’s time sorting for Vertex AI Search?

Google recently sunset the Custom Search Engine site-restrict API and suggests the new vertex search AI API as a replacement.

CSE had many features of Google search. Unfortunately with vertex AI, the search capabilities are very poorly documented.

Is there any way to ensure that vertex AI website search results are sorted by time relevancy? I’ve seen no documentation that this capability even exists but it seems like a core search functionality, especially for something meant to replace CSE.
