This is what you need to do, if you would like to close your account. Please make sure that this is what you want to do, before following the instructions.
- In order to delete your account, click on your avatar image and then on ’My settings’ from the drop-down.
- In the settings, click on ‘Close Account’. This will bring up a message that explains to you that you will need to start from scratch, if you close your account and want to rejoin at a later time.
- Carefully read the warning message. If you are absolutely sure that you want to close your account, after reading the warning, click the ‘Close Account’ button.
- Once your account has been deleted, all your post will show as coming from 'Former Community Member'.
