In order to use the Community to its full potential, you will need to create a Community account. You can learn more about the many benefits of joining the Google Cloud Community in our article here (for Google Cloud), here (for Google Workspace), and here (for AppSheet).

Below, you can find the steps for creating a Community account. You can jump to the different sections of this article depending on your circumstances, such as whether you have a Google Account or a legacy community account.

Instructions if you’re new to the Google Cloud Community

Choose a username. Your username is the name that you'll be known by in the Community. We recommend that you use your first name and last name initial, following this format: firstname_lastinitial (e.g. Jane_D for Jane Doe). However, you may choose a different username. The system will let you know if your username has already been taken.

You will also need to enter your primary community of interest. When you have entered and selected all information, click “Submit.”

Without a Google Account

We strongly recommend signing in with a Google Account. If this is not an option for you and you cannot create a Google Account, follow these steps:

  1. From the sign in page, click "Need Help?" then click the “Register Now” button.Chelle_iTalent_1-1659634408608.png
  2. You will be taken to the registration page, where you will need to complete your Community profile. When you have entered and selected all information, check the box that asks you to confirm that you have read and accept the terms of service and click “Register.”create-community-account-without-google.png

Once you log in, please check your profile and validate that your content has successfully migrated from the legacy account. If it has not, please reach out to the Google Cloud Community team by leaving a post in the respective Community Feedback forum (Google Cloud, Google Workspace, AppSheet) and someone from the team will be able to assist you. If you’re still running into issues, please reach out to the team at gc-customer-community@google.com.
