Download the entire contents of a dashboard in Excel files.

Folks,

I have a series of dashboards comprised of multiple Looks that need to be schedule for download and sent via email to internal stakeholders.   When selecting the format for downloading the dashboard, I only have CSV and PDF options.   How do I add Excel file format to the list for downloading dashboards?

NOTE: I do have the ability to download in Excel file format for an individual Look on the dashboard.   Is this the workaround to schedule the Looks for delivery?   If so, then is there a way to have all the Looks combined into a single Excel workbook?

Hi Doug - at present, the only way to combine all of the data from a Looker dashboard into a single Excel format file is to build an extension as demonstrated here - but this would require some light development skills to implement.

I adjusted our approach to provide PDFs as downloads as we are going live at the end of this month (April 2025).
