Seeing this error message whenever trying to drill down inside an embed. Everything works fine (albeit slow) in Looker itself.
Any ideas how to solve this? Really annoying.
Hi @NicoNicoNey - sorry you're dealing with this! I have shared the error you're receiving with some of out internal teams. In the meantime, hopefully a fellow Community Member can jump in and help out!
We are also seeing this while testing for when chrome blocks 3rd party cookies. When we applied cookieless embedding we see this error when clicking on measures with drill fields. If we allow 3rd party cookies it works as expected by displaying the drill down window.
@NicoNicoNey I'm facing the same problem and, as @twetter said, data drilling only works when the Third party cookies are allowed in browser settings.
I found a possible solution but I haven't tested yet: change the looker instance URL in order to match the same domain as the web application.
According to the documentation:
If you are embedding on analytics.mycompany.com, you can set up a custom domain that changes your Looker URL from mycompany.cloud.looker.com to looker.mycompany.com.
Configuring a custom domain causes the cookies that Looker uses to become first-party cookies.
You can find the explanation in this Looker Best Practices link
