Apigee SAAS | MP | Management Servers

Hi ,

Does the SAAS model of apigee gives dedicated management server and Message processor to customers .If yes is IP is going to be static or dynamic ?.

Also is the log access is permitted in SAAS model for MP and Management Servers?

Please insight on the above two points

Regards,

Patty

Management servers are not dedicated. Message processors are a little more complex - you'd need to consult a salesperson with more details of your specific requirements.

In either case, you cannot access logs in the same way you would on-prem. You can view some SAAS logs using the log API (https://docs.apigee.com/api-monitoring/logs-api?hl=en) and the Audit logs (in the Admin page on the Cloud UI) but you can't get access to raw logs.

Thank you @christian king for clarification.

Hi Christian ,

Is file logging possible in case of SAAS model using Message Logging policy?.

Thanks,

Patty?

Message Logging does work on SaaS, although you must log to a syslog server (or a cloud logging service which supports intake via syslog) and not file logging. SaaS also has an extension for logging to Stackdriver if you would prefer that.

Thank you @Christian King . Need your insight on more use case on logging.

We are using TCP longing to Splunk. How ever not shipping payload to Splunk.

Does Apigee SAAS model store request/response payload if we want to get this in future based on org and environment .

Thanks,

Patty
