Can we configure Apigee for a GCP Project which uses shared VPC from a host Project?

We are having a GCP Prject which uses shared VPC from a host Project, When we configure Apigee Eval in our Dev GCP project env we are getting below Error.

Error: (gcloud.compute.addresses.create) Could not fetch resource.
Is it possiblr or not, to configure Apigee VPC peering on the host project VPC?
