How do I add permissions to a SmartDocs method view?

I have already setup permissions on the API Documentation page as well as my method listing view so that only people with a certain role can view them. However, this does not prevent accessing methods directly using the url. Is there any permission I can set on a view or anything I can add to the Method Template to enforce a role-based permission?
