I can't see a way to add Key Value maps in my trial account.

Why is that so? Key value maps are not available in trial accounts?

Not sure why. Can you post a screenshot ?

Normally you would navigate to Admin....Environments...Key Value Maps...

And then click the "+Key value map" button in the upper right corner.
