Dears,
I hope you are doing well,
I am facing an issue with monetization. Once the developer limit is reached and his account is suspended and added to the suspended list, he asks me to resubscribe with a new subscription. The problem is that his new subscription will not work until midnight when he can use the latest subscription. Is there any way to allow the developer to use a new subscription directly?
If he reaches the limit, I cancel his subscription and resubscribe for him, but the problem is that he will stay blocked until, midnight, and his system will be impacted. Is this the correct approach?
I am using on-prem installed Apigee.
Best Regards,
Amer Hijazi
Hi @Amer-Hijazi,
I noticed your question hasn’t been answered yet. Don’t worry—we’ll keep an eye on it and try to get some input from other members soon.
Hey, If developers wait until they get suspended for exceeding limits, that is the expected behavior. You can test the limit notifications as suggested in this article: Set up a limit notification for a rate plan.
Let us know if you have any other questions! 😊
Dear @AlexET ,
Thank you for your response,
Even If I did and the user did not contact me to renew the subscription, does he need to wait until midnight to complete the requests? Is there any way to allow him to use my API directly to avoid his services being impacted?
Also, regarding the notification, is there any other way to calculate the user usage percentage and then send an email to him stating that he uses 60%, 70%, or 90% of his limitation without setting the harder value, as in shared URL 800 requests?
Best Regards,
Amer Hijazi
Hey,
The user who sets up the notification needs to calculate the percentage of the value they’re referring to and configure it accordingly, as outlined in the document.
You can also check this: unsuspend developers.
If you’re setting up a very specific scenario, please open a support case with detailed examples of how the rate limit is configured and how you’re re-subscribing the developer so the team can analyze it further.
Hope this helps!
Hello @AlexET ,
Thank you for your answer,
I already tried, my issue is once the rate card is Bundle and the developer finishes his bundle he will blocked, and if I cancel his current subscription and create a new one he will stay blocked until midnight even if I remove his account from the suspended list, and he again sends one more request his account will be blocked again until his new subscription is activated. is there any cron job or another way to allow him to use a new subscription directly without waiting until midnight?
Also, where must I open the ticket in my support account or here in the community?
I appreciate your support.
