ServiceCallout target uri not picked from code

I tried using url https://myorghost.apigee.com/pathsuffix  in SC httptargetconnection url.  when i executed the same and look in trace, url is not complete , i see only pathsuffix , i am not sure why its like that. can anyone suggestproper implementation.
