apigeehybrid - 1.8 -- documentation/config issue - required? deprecated?

Looks like a documentation or configuration gap -   Both "required" and "deprecated" are listed in same sentence/configuration-attribute.          Does anyone know if we can safely ignore this ?

It is deprecated. It was a "required" field when it was not deprecated 🙂
