update/change the revision description

Hi 

Is there any apigee API with which i can update/change the revision description ; whenever a new revision of a proxy is deployed to an environment i want to update the revision description to something maybe a commit hash.

UPDATE : The only way i could find to update the revision description was changing the <Description> tag within the proxy xml
