Automation Files Generating Errors "files not found in directory" - 0 byte files

Hello, we have a multi-step bot automation that creates files to a google drive directory and then emails the files to the user. They usually run successfully but over the last 2 days the majority of the files (not all) have started to generate as 0 bytes and then as full byte sized files - not in time for the email generation to pick it up.  How do we stop the 0 byte files from generating? I understand there was a Google Drive outage recently, are there still issues or has it been completely resolved?
