Date Range Expression not referencing the correct data

I have the following expression configured. The statement appears to display the correct [created_by] and [record_status] but it doesn't seem to recognize the date range at all.

The vir_route_start_time and vir_route_end_time fields are REF fields in order to grab the date references from a parent table. The parent table is 2 levels up, so from drop_checklist_activity_cdsa, I reference the drop_site_checklist table and then from here I reference the drop_route_hdr table which is the main parent (Grandparent, Parent, Child) Is the system not able to reference the dates possibly because of this? If yes, what's the best way to reference dates 2 tables up?

Any help would be amazing.  Thank you!

The dates expected are from 9/1/2023 16:26 - 9/1/2023 19:41  but I'm getting records for the created by and record status only.

Although this reference did not resolve my issue, it may help someone.  Will report back with any resolutions.
