Subject: Issue with Delayed Sync – Data Saved Late to Database
Hello AppSheet Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue where a product added to a sales transaction was not saved to the database at the expected time. Below is a detailed description of the problem:
Issue Summary:
A sales transaction was started at 11:17 AM and completed at 11:19 AM.
A total of 7 products were added to the sales order.
However, only 6 products were successfully recorded in the database at that time.
The system generated an invoice and sent a confirmation message to the customer based on those 6 products.
Unexpectedly, the 7th product was recorded in the database only at 15:03 PM, long after the transaction had completed.
This caused inconsistencies in the sales reports and incorrect financial calculations.
Investigation Steps Taken:
Audit History Review: Checked AppSheet → Manage → Monitor → Audit History and found that the missing product was only logged at 15:03 PM, without any record of its initial entry at 11:18 AM.
Sync Behavior: The app is set to sync data automatically, but this specific product seems to have remained in the queue/cache until a later sync at 15:01 PM.
Offline Mode & Caching: The device had a stable internet connection, and other transactions during the same time period were recorded correctly.
Sync Logs: I confirmed that other sales transactions were processed correctly between 11:19 AM and 15:03 PM.
Expected Behavior:
Once a user saves a transaction, all products should immediately be recorded in the database. Any delays in syncing should be logged and visible in the audit logs.
Request for Support:
Could this issue be related to AppSheet’s offline queue or delayed sync behavior?
Is there a way to determine whether the missing product was stuck in the cache and only pushed to the database later?
Are there known issues where some records are delayed while others sync instantly?
What additional troubleshooting steps can I take to prevent this from happening again?

By any chance the app user has e.g. closed the laptop before the syncing process was completed? That would explain this kind of behavior.
