Hello!
Can anyone advise if it is possible to embed/show videos in AppSheet that meet the following criteria.
> Does not require the user to launch externally or go to an external browser, browser view or google drive, etc.
> Users are unable to download or share the videos
> Works on IOS and PC desktop
I have tried the following so far and managed to get them to work but they do not meet all the criteria above which is essential.
1. YouTube Embedding - does not work on IOS (Still) and unable to remove share button in the top of the video view which poses a privacy issue for us.
2. Google Drive URL - With the correct permissions set up in google drive, I can remove download and sharing capabilities. Users can still copy link but with restricted access permissions will not allow anonymous others to access the videos. However, has to take users out of the app. (Browser view, launch externally). Trying to avoid is possible.
3. Google Drive Embed - Got this to work but only for small mp4 videos but users can still download.
4. Uploaded videos via File Type column and created a Virtual column with TEXT([File Column]) which works but again not with IOS and allows users to download.
Have looked at and trialled Vimeo unsuccessfully and looking at other community pages does not look like video embedding with Vimeo is possible in AppSheet? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Next option would be hosting the videos on our company website in the backend that cannot be accessed by the public but I am not sure if AppSheet will allow this? I have not been able to find anything in the community that confirms this is possible.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
