Upload Limits for Images or Files in AI Task

Hello everyone in the community,

I have recently been thoroughly exploring the new AI Task functionality in AppSheet, and I must highlight its impressive ability to simplify and automate processes. In a project where I have implemented it for scanning vehicle license plates and similar documents, the results have been truly excellent.

This positive experience has led me to ask the following question: is there any limitation regarding the number of photos or files that AI Task can process or receive in a single operation or cumulatively?

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could clarify this doubt, as this information would be very useful for the planning and scalability of my projects.

Thank you very much in advance for your attention and responses.

Hi @sricse ,

Good question! As of now, AppSheetโ€™s AI Task generally follows platform file limits โ€” typically:

โ€“ Max file size per upload: ~20 MB (check your app plan, as it may vary).
โ€“ Number of files in one AI Task: not strictly capped, but large batches can hit timeout or performance limits.
โ€“ Cumulative processing: depends on how your automation is structured; splitting into smaller chunks is often safer.

If youโ€™re planning high-volume or frequent tasks, I recommend testing with a sample batch and monitoring execution time and reliability.
