enum default value

I a particular column named "vendor"  in a simple table1

when i am adding data using the computer generated add table, i would  like the vendor to default to the last "vendor" used.

Any help would be appreciated

Something like LOOKUP(MAXROW("Table","_ROWNUMBER"),"Table","KeyColumn","Vendor") and use your own table and column names.
