Alternative of filestore during self-hosted installation on GCP.

I am doing looker self-hosted installation on GCP in Cluster mode,
from installation guidelines i got to know looker nodes need to share certain parts of the filesystem (LookML models, Looker models developers, Git server connectivity)and which must be POSIX compliant.
is there any other alternative of filestore which wont impact performance of looker application ?
