We are trying to generate feasibility for migrating COGNOS on-premise migration to GCP utilizing compute engine on Windows. On premise environment might have utilized both 32 bit and 64 bit packages for different functionality. IBM website says that 32 bit functionality is not available on their cloud PaaS service called cloud data pack. We are trying to understand the road map and also trying to find alternatives.
1) Would Cloud machine accept 32 bit packages on windows and would not have any issues hand shaking with other resources on GCP for the solution? 2) if we were to containerize the on-premise solution on LINUX for utilizing GKE deployment , would it have issues on GCP? 3) Is upgrading 32 bit to 64 bit the most optimal?
