It was a challenging journey, but I am honored to be part of this community of certified professionals. Hello, I'm happy to share my experience. I joined the Cloud Readiness program offered for students and got sponsored with a Coursera  specialization course named "Architecting with Google Compute Engine" which is same as in Quiklabs learning path (Available for some quiklab credits).

However, the most valuable learning experience came from completing Quiklab quests and using a GitHub repository certification-resources  .(Not mine) 

To practice for exam, I searched for sample questions, including those provided officially and from various other websites. I would recommend to ask yourself questions like "How/Why it works?". Also in case you need a better explanation of concept or working, Discussion forms/Documentation /Stackoverflow will resolve most of them.
