Hello, Google Cloud Community! I’m thrilled to share how Woolworths New Zealand, a leading grocery retailer, transformed its operations and launched its successful Everyday Rewards loyalty program with the help of Apigee X, Google Cloud’s API management platform.
Woolworths New Zealand selected Apigee X in mid-2022 to modernize API management, improve security, and streamline partner integrations, enabling the launch of their Everyday Rewards loyalty program. Apigee X met the company’s functional requirements, supported their multi-cloud approach, and aligned with their broader modernization goals.
Since launching in February 2024, the program has attracted 1.67 million members, redeemed over one million vouchers, and driven $15 million in rewards. The seamless API integrations with partners like bp, ASB Bank, and Vineonline were key to this success.
Woolworths New Zealand continues to work with Google Cloud and Cognizant, exploring advanced API security features like predictive threat detection to further enhance their platform and customer experiences.
