Suggestion for Google Pay – Expense Tracking Categories Feature

I am a regular user of Google Pay in India, and I truly appreciate the convenience it brings to digital transactions. However, I believe there is an opportunity to improve the app’s functionality by introducing a more structured way to track expenses. Currently, users find it difficult to track where their debited money is spent. To make this easier, I propose adding expense category tabs within the app, allowing users to classify transactions effortlessly. Here are some suggested categories:

  • Rent / Home Loan EMI
  • Electricity Bill
  • Water Bill
  • Internet & Mobile Recharge
  • Grocery / Ration
  • Gas / LPG Cylinder
  • School / College Fees
  • Loan EMI / Credit Card Bill
  • Daily & Household Expenses
  • Transportation & Travel
  • Healthcare & Medical
  • Entertainment & Lifestyle
  • Savings & Investments
  • Miscellaneous Expenses

By integrating these categories, Google Pay can provide users with better financial insights, improved budgeting, and an overall enhanced experience in managing their expenses. This feature would be particularly beneficial for common users who rely on Google Pay for their daily transactions. I hope this suggestion adds value to the platform.
