APP Engine for Meta API Conversions - Billing?

Hi!

We are trying to implement Meta API Conversions through the "Partner integration" with "GTM server-side". We carefully followed the instructions and, good news, it seems to work.

The only thing we need help with is the Google Cloud Billing. Indeed, to do the setup of this Meta API Conversions, we had to create a Google Cloud Console account and Google CLoud Project (APP Engine).

For now, it's free, and if I understood well, we get like 200$ of credit also, but at some point, that will be done and we will have to pay.

That's my question: how much we will have to pay (by month / year)? How can I understand that? The document is hard to understand. We litteraly just want to have this Google Cloud Project we created active (so the Meta API Conversions work), and that's it.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Hi @CloudPGE,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

Based on this documentation on charging cycle, you will be charged in one of two ways:

  • Monthly billing: Costs are charged on a regular monthly cycle.
  • Threshold billing: Costs are charged when your account has accrued a specific amount.

Monthly billing will be charged depending on your usage on that specific month while threshold billing will be automatically charged depending on the billing threshold that you set. For example, you set $100, you will be charged automatically $100 every 1st day of the month that you can use on any Google Cloud services.

You can check our Google Cloud pricing for additional information or reach out to our Google Cloud billing support to properly explain any inquiries related to your billing charges.

You can also check the following documentation that may help you further:

Hope this helps.

Hi Robert. I have the same question as the original poster but don't know what to enter into the pricing calculator. What are the options that relate to this - App Engine?

Hi @ManukauDL,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

That would depend on your App Engine configuration, e.g., location, traffic, storage, instances, etc. There were changes with the calculator right now and I would suggest checking out this legacy calculator as well as it has options to check what each configuration means and will redirect you to the documentation to help you understand the meaning and its functions.

Hope this helps.
