Deleted a Game Project on Cloud: how to remove it from an app on Play Console?

We accidentally deleted a Game Project in Cloud Console (ID xxxxxxx) that was linked to only one app in the play console and half-set-up in the Play Console for the same app (Leaderboards were partially set-up for example), now I (the Admin/Owner) have not permission in Play Console to modify it because the project doesn't exist in the Cloud anymore, and the Play Console can't find it… But we don't want to modify that project, we want to remove it from the Play Console to "make space" in our Play Console to link the app to the new project that we meanwhile prepared in the Cloud Console (ID yyyyyyyyy). We did not publish the app or the old project (ID xxxxxxx) so I think we don’t need to recover the old project, should we?

  • It looks like both the "Remove Games Services" and "Delete game project” are active in my Play Console, so that I think we could:

    1. In the Play Console under "Game Project", click "Remove Play Games Services" button
    2. and then, if It is still possible, click the "Delete Game Project” button
    • Is this the right path to follow in order to "make space” in my Play Console for the new project, or will this delete the new project too and make things even worse?
    • If you ever tried that, can you confirm that once unlinked the old project (ID xxxxxxx), I (Admin and Owner) will have the permission to link and set up the new project (Project ID yyyyyyyyy) in my Play Console for that app if accessing with an Admin account to the Play Console?
    • Once removed the old project from the Play console I will be able to find and link the new project ID yyyyyyyyy to that app in may Play Console?

I wrote to the Play Console Support Team, but unfortunately they are not able to solve the problem, saying this is for the Cloud Team.

    Thank you for your suggestions!
