GCP free tier charging for VM instance

I am quite new to using GCP and VM instances. Recently, I set up a VM instance in GCP under the free tier. However, it appears that I'm being charged for something, and I'm not sure why this is happening. Did I potentially make a mistake during the setup? If more information is required to diagnose this issue, please let me know. I appreciate any assistance! Thank you.

When you sign-up for Free Trial, you have a $300 free trial credits that you can use to pay for the resources used while learning about Google Cloud. Your Free Trial ends, once you have spent the $300 credits and 90 days have elapsed since you signed up.

 The 90-day, $300 Free Trial period starts automatically when you complete your signup.

To complete your Free Trial signup, you must provide a credit card or other payment method to set up a Cloud Billing account and verify your identity. Don't worry, setting up a Cloud Billing account does not enable us to charge you. You are not charged unless you explicitly enable billing by upgrading your Cloud Billing account to a paid account. You can upgrade to a paid account at any time during the trial. After you have upgraded, you can still use any remaining credits (within the 90-day period).
