Google Cloud Credit Card Verification Issue - Temporary Charge Not Showing

Hello,

I'm currently setting up my Google Cloud Platform (GCP) account and facing an issue with the credit card verification process.

After entering my card details, GCP informs me that they will make a small, temporary charge to my account for verification, which I'm supposed to confirm. However, my credit card provider (Visa) states that they can only see a transaction request from Google but no actual charge since the amount is 0.00€. They mentioned that due to the zero amount, they can't generate or see any verification code.

I've been waiting for a few days now, but the situation remains the same. I've also tried to get in touch with Google's support, but I haven't been able to get the help I need since I'm currently on the free tier of GCP.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Is there a workaround for this situation or some other way to complete the verification process? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I really can not understand this. It seems like such a straightforward thing to have a Google rep or Google billing support agent reach out to help you fix the issue.

I don't have this exact issue, but I've been trying to set an account up for 8 days. I have an open Customer Care Portal case; they keep passing me from agent to agent and in a week I've not gotten a single message that helped. They've attempted to collect information - as much as possible, but won't help me solve the problem.

I am pretty frustrated. I'm reading all of these questions - all of them are very similar, billing account issues - and there are no real responses. I'm starting to think the right thing to do is escalate the issues in public. Just make some noise. We are all being out right ignored.

I hope you figure it out, mate. I really do. Good luck, but Google support is very near the worst I've ever encountered.
