Need Guidance on Optimizing Edge Server Performance in Google Cloud Community

Hello fellow Google Cloud Community members,

I have been encountering performance issues with edge servers in my Google Cloud environment and would greatly appreciate your expertise and guidance on optimizing their performance. Specifically, I have noticed occasional latency and connectivity problems, resulting in delays in data retrieval and compromised user experiences.

I'm eager to learn about best practices and strategies for enhancing the performance and reliability of edge servers in Google Cloud. Are there any specific configurations, caching techniques, or content delivery network (CDN) integration approaches that I should consider? I would also like to understand any potential limitations or challenges associated with edge server deployments.

Furthermore, I'm interested in hearing about your experiences and success stories in overcoming similar issues with edge servers (lenovo.com/de/de/c/servers-storage/servers/edge/) . Have you implemented any specific techniques or optimizations that significantly improved performance? Any insights or recommendations you can provide would be immensely valuable.

Let's collaborate and leverage our collective knowledge to optimize edge server performance within the Google Cloud Community. Your contributions and expertise are highly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi,

Sharing with you the documentation on Compute Engine Region Selection[1]. The documentation consists of different kinds of latency on how to avoid it with the recommendation service that you can use to lower or solve the latency that we are experiencing.

Another documentation[2] that I'm sharing with you is to optimize latency using load balancing. In this documentation it also shows information about Cloud CDN. Let me also share with you on how to check Google Cloud Latency[3] traffic across VMs in Google Cloud zones and traffic between Google Cloud and internet endpoints.

Regarding Edge server, I assumed that this is your on premise network that will be connected to your google resources. With this being said I am sharing with you one of GCP services which is Cloud Interconnect which provides low-latency, high-availability connections between GCP network and on premise network.
