Project recovery

Hi,
The user was administrating google cloud and its project. Since the user left the company and the account was deleted more than 20 days ago. Would it be possible to recover that project if the account is recreated? Thank you

When one creates a Google Cloud Project, it is commonly associated with a Google Cloud Organization (a business / enterprise).  If a user separates from a company, the project should still remain with the Google Cloud organization associated with that company.

I think a core concept of whether (and if yes, how) a project can be accessed is whether or not the project was created as part of a Google Cloud organization and hence is relatable back to a business or whether the project was created under an "individual's" billing account and hence has no trackable relationship back to a company.

When you say "the account was deleted" ... can you elaborate on that?  What kind of account was it?  How was it related to a Google Account?

Hi Kolban,

Thank you for the prompt response. The user used to be a part of the organization, which has its own google workspace linked to the specific domain. Therefore he logged in to the Google Cloud using a corporate account. Then he was deleted from the workspace. I don't think he had granted any permissions to any other users within the organization. Therefore the question would be how to get access to that project.

I had a look around and it appears that there is a form that can be filled in to start the process of recovery ... see the following:
