Storing embeddings in Vector Search Google

Hello, could you help me with this query: In Google Vector Search, where are embeddings stored? Is there a vector database within Vertex AI Vector Search? If so, what advantages does it offer over other vector databases? Thank you.

I have been searching for the same, and I can't find it.
the issue is these embeddings are paid for the parsing and storing, so it should be accessible for us.
it is so frustrating. ... if you came across an answer please share.
