unable to use mouse on a specific GCP VM from mac

I created a few VMs using XFCE with the steps provided here

I access these VMs through chrome remote desktop on my mac

Now for 1 specific VM I am unable to use the mouse from mac , the cursor does nothing (keyboard commands are still working) , when I access the same VM from my android using remote desktop everything works as expected. 

This issue is only for 1 specific VM, mouse works fine on others. 

any help is appreciated

You may want to consider ensuring that your Chrome browser on your Mac and the Chrome Remote Desktop app on your Android device are updated to the latest versions including Chrome Remote Desktop extension on your Mac.

Another suggestion, on the problematic VM, is to check if the Xfce desktop environment and Chrome Remote Desktop extension are installed and configured correctly. Make sure as well any firewall rules or security software on the VM aren't blocking mouse input from Chrome Remote Desktop.
