BQ Monitoring console seems irrelevant for some reason

Hello,

I am using BQ heavily in a GCP project without any Org meaning standalone project. Does it mean monitoring is not applicable from the error message i see? Doesn't make sense to me. Scroll down to the bottom to see the error message.

Hi,

I suggest that you upgrade your free trial account to a paid account as there are certain functions that are not available for Free Trial. In case you wish to upgrade your free trial account, please refer to the link [1].

If you upgrade before the trial is over Any remaining, unexpired Free Trial credits remain in your Cloud Billing account. You can continue to use the resources you created during the Free Trial without interruption.

Thanks  for the answer @jeerahalli . This is very much an active paid account related to customer project.  After reading through the documentation i found that slot related metrics does not make sense for on-demand pricing which is what i have and hence the dashboard is empty. BQ pricing is so complicated. And with the introduction of BQ Editions I am not sure how many types of billing are available with BQ.

Hi @dheerajpanyam,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

In addition to @jeerahalli, BigQuery editions will depend on your specific needs and budget. Analyze your data volume, query complexity, performance requirements and budget constraints to determine the edition that aligns best.

Slots from all editions are subject to the same quota. Your quota is not fulfilled on a per-edition basis. Keep in mind that quota increase requests are reviewed and approved on a case-to-case basis. Note that the requests will be reviewed and granted for valid business cases.

I hope the above information is helpful.

The answer is irrelevant to my question but i take it.
