Big Query missing 3 days data from GA4

Hello all,

Would like to seek for anyone's kind help here for an issue encounted. We have an established linkage between GA4 and Big Query for daily streaming of data, but a few days ago, it stopped without notice, and no data since 1 Aug has been parsed into the intraday table until 4 Aug morning.

Would anyone has a similar incident before and what could be the possible reasons?

Any way I can load back the missing data from GA4 to BQ?

Thanks in advance for your time!

Possible reasons for data streaming from GA4 to BigQuery to stop:

  • Problems with your BigQuery project: Make sure that your BigQuery project is still active and that you have the correct permissions to export data from GA4. Check if there are any billing issues or if the project has exceeded its quota, as these can also disrupt data streaming.
  • Issues with Google's servers: While it's possible, issues with Google's servers are relatively rare. It's more likely that the issue is related to the configuration or settings of the GA4 or BigQuery accounts.

How to load back the missing data from GA4 to BQ:

  • Unfortunately, GA4 doesn't provide an option to manually download data for a specific date range from the interface. The data export to BigQuery is a server-side process managed by Google. If data is missing in BigQuery, it's not possible to retrieve it from GA4 manually.
  • The correct approach to recover missing data is to contact Google Support. They might be able to help recover the data or provide a suitable workaround.

Additional tips for troubleshooting data streaming issues between GA4 and BigQuery:

  • Check the logs for your Google Analytics property and BigQuery project. This may give you some clues as to what is causing the problem.
  • Contact Google Analytics support for help. They may be able to identify the problem and help you to resolve it.
