Copy and Paste not working in text fields

An issue just started with Looker Studio. The platform has been working great for years.

When I try to copy and paste text within a text box (field) or copy and paste text from one text box to another, it is copying and pasting the whole text box, not just the selected text. I've tried various fixes, enabling copying on chrome, using keyboard commands, logging in on other browsers, nothing is resolving this. As stated, this was never an issue until the last 24-48 hours or so. At times, copying the text to the clipboard is not working either.

Is this a known issue, or is anyone else experiencing this?  Any suggestions?

It can be frustrating when familiar tools malfunction. It seems you've hit a snag with Looker Studio's copy-paste function. While there are no mentions in the release notes and incident reports haven't surfaced yet, others might be experiencing this as well. I am having the issue.

I found indeed a not so elegant way to copy text from fields in looker. On Android. But it works:

1. hold the field until the text is bold.
2. make a screen print
3. Open the screen print in Google Photo' s

4. Tap on 'copy text'
5. The bold text is automatidy selected.
6. Tap 'copy'

7. You can paste the text everywhere you want.
