Failed to transfer the log activities of Google Workspace to BigQuery

I have an issue when tried to transfer the log activities of our google workspaces to BigQuery. The issue is that we add the project to the data set and want to save it, but it Failed. I tried many ways like changing the device and browser. Is there anyone who can help us with this? Thank you.

Hi @VerrenVionita,

I have some ideas around what might be going on. Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Make sure that you are using the correct Google Cloud Platform credentials.
  2. Make sure that the BigQuery project that you are trying to save the dataset to is authorized to access the logs.
  3. Check the BigQuery logs for any errors. (the errors might be why the transfer isn't happening)
  4. Contact Google Cloud Platform support for personalized help.

Below are some detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot the issue of failing to save a BigQuery dataset:

  1. Check the Google Cloud Platform credentials. Make sure that you are using the correct Google Cloud Platform credentials. You can find your credentials in the Google Cloud Platform Console.

  2. Make sure that the BigQuery project that you are trying to save the dataset to is authorized to access the logs. You can grant access to a BigQuery project to the logs by following these instructions:

    • Go to the BigQuery Console.
    • Click on the "Projects" tab.
    • Click on the name of the project that you want to grant access to.
    • Click on the "IAM & Admin" tab.
    • Click on the "Service Accounts" tab.
    • Click on the "Create service account" button.
    • Enter a name for the service account.
    • Click on the "Create" button.
    • Copy the JSON key file for the service account.
    • Go to the BigQuery Logs Console.
    • Click on the "Settings" tab.
    • Click on the "Logs" tab.
    • Click on the "Add dataset" button.
    • Enter a name for the dataset.
    • Click on the "Create" button.
    • In the "Dataset settings" section, click on the "Permissions" tab.
    • Click on the "Add role" button.
    • Select the "Service account" role.
    • Enter the email address of the service account that you created in step 2.
    • Click on the "Add" button.
  3. Check the BigQuery logs for any errors. If you are seeing any errors in the BigQuery logs, try to identify the cause of the error and resolve it.

  4. Contact Google Cloud Platform support for help. If you are still having trouble, you can contact Google Cloud Platform support for help. They will be able to assist you in troubleshooting the issue.

I hope this helps!
